New Leadership. New Vision

Crystal Perzylo-Reynolds

CALGARY, AB—Crystal Perzylo-Reynolds accepted the nomination to be our new president for the Nose Creek Preservation Society at the Annual General Meeting in September. Crystal was one of the original steering committee members, taking on the communications role and developing the visual brand and website. Using her unique design chops to brand Save Nose Creek to connect with community members and government leaders as a new, but legitimate, volunteer-run not-for-profit organization.

Living in Panorama Hills, even though Crystal doesn’t live right next to the valley, she understands the importance of preserving natural habitat as much as possible.

Born and raised in Calgary, she has lived in all four corners of the city, as well as a stint out in Cochrane. She was educated here in the public school system and then graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Kinesiology. She stuck around campus working in the faculty in the campus recreation department, then DINOS athletics, and eventually spent a few years working in their development and fundraising department.

After seven years working at the university, Crystal escaped the campus intellectual bubble and moved into the public sector. Because of her design chops, she was offered a management position at the Bankers Hall Club in its membership department. Once she decided to start a family, she has worked from home ever since, building her own design solo-studio company.

Working as a self-employed designer and marketing consultant for over 30 years, Crystal has extensive experience across a wide range of industries and in the political realm. Claiming that she is ‘unemployable’ now, after years with the freedom to build her business and work with clients based on shared values and desired outcomes. The Nose Creek Preservation Society will benefit from her unique outlook and openness to thinking outside traditional boxes when it comes to advocacy, running an organization, and leadership that values all voices.

Crystal has a passion for design and development that prioritizes the health of the land and the people who call it home, and not on making the rich richer. She is a strong advocate for ‘building better’ that helps everyone progress, learn, and grow. Her goal for 2026 is to ensure the sustainability of the Nose Creek Preservation Society grows and evolves, even as volunteer leaders and members come and go.

With many ideas and her appreciation for the support of her other volunteers, we will continue to advocate for the valley and connect with Creek Head members, the communities that call the Nose Creek valley home, and the governing bodies.
